About This Release

My Name Is Lisa was originally published in 2007. Within about eight months, after I finished the fifteenth chapter of the sequel my husband Marven had quadruple bypass surgery, and not long after that, he had two heart attacks and then stents placed. One of his doctors told him that in most cases like his he should have two to five years to live. It was at this time that I lost focus and quit writing.

Around the fifth year, we moved to Nashville Tennessee to live close to our son. We stayed there for five years and then decided to move back to the Phoenix area, where we had lived before, only this time to live close to my sister. Marvin knew when he passed, that we would probably buy a home together. It has been fifteen years now since the doctor’s prediction and Marvin is doing very well, thanks to his cardiologist in Scottsdale AZ. He treats his patients as though they are going to live, not die.

Although Marvin did have to give up his profession as a General Contractor, he is now a state board licensed certified manager of two houses for assisted living, he just finished writing his first Children’s book, is now writing a novel and he works tirelessly in his gardens.

During the past five years. I finished the sequel to Lisa but because of the lapse in time, it was suggested by my publisher and others, that we publish Lisa again as a second edition. We did change the back cover to update the information but that is all. The sequel will be coming out in a few months. I know there are many that have waited patiently and I am sure others, not as patiently as there is a cliffhanger at the end. I do hope you enjoy Lisa’s story and you too will be anxious to read the sequel.
